9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (ET)
Center for Community Education and Training
This workshop will explore “Current Trends in Substance Abuse”
with an emphasis on the resurgence of heroin use as well as synthetic marijuana and
bath salts. Steve Hanson, the associate commissioner of treatment and practice innovation
for the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse, will be presenting.
If you are a professional in the field or a worried parent,
arm yourself with education about these dangerous drugs.
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about these specific substance
abuse concerns. Qualified specialists are in demand as we learn more about the
frequency and severity of alcoholism and other substance abuse issues. Whether
you’re interested in being a licensed counselor or simply want to expand your ability to
support others, Alfred State’s Center for Community Education and Training can help you get there.
Interested participants should call the Center for Community Education and
Training at 607-587-4015 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Pre-registration is required. The cost of the training is $25.
